Amy Berg ’08 is associate professor of philosophy at Rice University. She works on ethics and political philosophy, including the philosophy of well-being. Her book The Well- Rounded Life is forthcoming in November with Princeton University Press. Before coming to Rice, Berg taught at Oberlin College, Rhode Island College, and UNC Chapel Hill. She received her PhD in philosophy from UC San Diego and her BA in philosophy and government from CMC. Berg’s work has been supported by the US Department of Education (the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship), the American Association of University Women (the American Fellowship), the National Endowment for the Humanities (a Summer Stipend), and the Marc Sanders Foundation (the Philosophy in Media Fellowship).
