“Let’s Write a Pilot!” Workshop

In Spring 2020 and Spring 2023, the Gould Center has sponsored the two-part workshop, “Let’s Write a Pilot” with Matt Pyken ’83, writer and producer of shows such as Mr. Robot and Empire. The workshop normally has two sessions with homework in-between, where each participant writes a scene for a television drama. At the end of the workshop, participants end up completing a jointly written TV pilot script. Through this workshop, students have had the opportunity to hear about tips on how to become a screenwriter and what it is like in the business.
