Gould Fellows Program

OVERVIEW

The Gould Center Fellows Program allows a small group of students to participate in a special series of humanistic programming throughout the entire academic year.

New for 2026-27: We will have two cohorts of Gould Center Fellows, each consisting of approximately 10 students. Each cohort is led by a Gould Student Manager — one will be led by Emily Riley ’29 and one by Arthur Lopes Constant ’29.

The program is open to students in the Class of 2029 and the Class of 2030, with priority given to humanities majors or prospective majors.

Programming, much of which is exclusive to the Gould Fellows, includes:

  • Humanities career-planning panels, creative workshops, and skill-building activities

  • Small group sessions with Ath speakers

  • Small group sessions with humanities faculty

  • Cultural excursions, including a trip to see the The Outsiders at the Pantages Theater

  • Other Gould Center sponsored events and activities


BENEFITS

Throughout this program, students will experience the following:

  • Connect and engage with a small group of students with common interests

  • Small group interaction with nationally recognized authors, artists, journalists, and other humanistic professionals

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the humanities and preparation for humanities careers

  • Receive selected books written by the speakers (plus an opportunity to have them signed by the authors)

  • $750 fellowship award upon successful completion of the Fellowship program
