Gould Fellows Program

OVERVIEW

The Gould Center Fellows Program includes a group of approximately 10 students who will participate in a special series of humanistic programming throughout the entire 2024-2025 academic year. The program is open to students in the Class of 2027 and the Class of 2028, with priority given to humanities majors or prospective majors.

Programming, much of which is exclusive to the Gould Fellows, includes:

  • Humanistic career planning workshops and skills workshops

  • Small group sessions with Ath speakers

  • Small group sessions with humanities faculty

  • Cultural excursions, including a trip to see Hozier at the LA Forum

  • Other Gould Center sponsored events and activities


BENEFITS

Throughout this program, students will experience the following:

  • Connect and engage with a small group of students with common interests

  • Small group interaction with nationally recognized authors, artists, journalists, and other humanistic professionals

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the humanities and preparation for humanities careers

  • Receive selected books written by the speakers (plus an opportunity to have them signed by the authors)

  • $750 fellowship award upon successful completion of the Fellowship program
